Golden gate

Wishing you a very happy autumn! This custom oil painting assays to celebrate the colors and essence of this lovely season: walking under canopies of wind-blown deciduous trees, over mosaics of fallen leaves in a thousand shades of yellow, a whiff of smoking slash piles in orchards, and skies fresh as mint vapor. 
Recently I took our dog on a trek through the area around Oyama, BC, and experienced all these sensations and more. This view is painted on a 20” x 48” panel and looks down from the highway at the majestic line of large poplar trees that line the eastern shore of Woods lake, carpets of orchards and rolling hills climb upward from this golden gate.
