Pen sketch for young trees in sunlight

This is a custom ballpoint pen drawing, done on 
6”x 4” glossy photo paper, and is $300 unframed. The inspiration for this semi-abstract imaginative piece is taken from the eastern shoreline of Wood Lake in lake country, BC. The still beauty of the reflections cast by a line of autumn trees, has eventually led to portraying this idea of the brilliance and vulnerability of youth, symbolized by a group of saplings cast in the spotlight of the sun, against a backdrop of aged conifers in cool shadow.
